The Boyne City Girls JV teamed traveled to Traverse City to face Traverse City St. Francis on February 6. The game tipped off at 5:30. The Girls JV team came into the game with a record of 13-1 on the season. The girls were looking to extend their winning streak to four games.

The Ramblers jumped out to a good start, as they held St. Francis to zero points in the first quarter. A three by Braylen Rincon would boost the Ramblers offense as they lead 6-0 after the first quarter. The Ramblers offense saw even more production in the second quarter, as Elly Day and Reagan Woodall each had three points in the second. The defense would stay stout as well, as the Ramblers took a 18-6 lead into the locker room at halftime.

In the third quarter, the game became a back and forth affair. As the Ramblers and Gladiators swapped baskets, Day would lead the Ramblers again, with four more points in the third quarter. The Ramblers held a 24-12 lead after three quarters. The fourth quarter saw a lot of offense by both teams. The Gladiators outscored the Ramblers in the final quarter (15-12),   but it was not nearly enough. However, eight points by Rincon in the final quarter, was enough to help the Ramblers hold onto a nine point victory, 36-27. The girls were led by Rincon with 13 and Day with 10 points. Others scoring for the Ramblers were : Woodall ( 4 points), Grace Dawson ( 3 points), Maricka Drennen ( 2 points) and Ava Maginity ( 2 points).

The win moves the girls to 14-1 on the season. The girls will be off until February 13, when they host East Jordan, as part of a JV double header. The girls game is scheduled to tip at 5:30. This will be the first of a three game home stand for the girls.
