Jay Clausen got the shutout facing no shots for the clean sheet. Boyne registered 21 shots on goal in the contest. Scoring started in the 3rd minute when Nic Santina crossed the ball into the area and Luis Villanueva finished a clean header to the back post. At the 13 minute mark Austin Mercer (unassisted) took on a defender and scored for 2-0. Six minutes later Amayo Bardeguez-Barrera (assist Hayden Mosley) finished a shot from the top of the box for 3-0. To round out scoring in the first half Phillip Banner had a solo effort slotting home against the keeper in the 35th minute. Scoring resumed 3 minutes into the second half when Ben Leaman (assist Derek Word) finished past the Kalkaska keeper to make the score 5-0. Derek Word (assist Joey Spate) made the score line 6-0 seven minutes later with a tidy finish. Austin Mercer (assist Mason Fiel) got on the end of a cross in the 19th minute to make the score 7-0. Austin Mercer finished out his hat trick with a solo effort two minutes later for the eighth goal and the end of the game.
