Coach Santina Thoughts:

" It was a great opportunity to finish the season on the same course that we started on. This gave the perfect opportunity to evaluate how our training and season went. I was very impressed to find every single runner who finished ran a better time than last time. It was a great finish to see everyone have their hard work pay off.

On the Boy's side I was proud of Isaac Dionne,  even though he felt awful right off the start, he toughed out a strong time and finish. Finn Perish came from a football game a few hours before hand to run an incredible race, very impressive to run that well after already playing a game. Wyatt  Woodall and Caleb Daniels ran strong races to run over 30 seconds faster than last time. Jamus Schraw, Henry Slough and Caleb Wormell all showed great effort running over 2 minutes faster than earlier this year. Mason Riccinto showed a lot of grit after going down early in the race tried his hardest to push through pain in his leg before unfortunately having to withdraw from the race, which showed a lot of heart but ultimately  was the best decision to stop.

On the Girl's side we our top five looked solid again as Delany Little continued to lead the team with a 27 second improvement. Chelsey Hertel, Rayah Williams and Cambrynne Giem had a strong race finishing right together. Rayah had a super strong sprint to the finish and took over a minute off her previous time. Chelsey and Cambrynne took over two minutes off their times. Rayah, Hailee Bertels, Carolyn Mcginn and Sidney Bush all took over a minute off their times. Kailyn Eaton, Brooklyn Bannister and Addison Parks all took at least 15 seconds off their times. Allie Wilson and Saylor Peck both put up really strong efforts for running on the course for their first time running on it.

I was just as impressed with the improvement in race two. Ava Hissong ran strong for her first time on the course as well. I was very thrilled to see Amelia Gross who cut over 5 minutes off her time. I was also thrilled for Alyssa McQueen and Savannah Wells who each  cut over 3 minutes off their times.  Alexis show good effort as well and took a good 30 seconds off her time.

I was so happy to see all the hard work these kids put in to finally pay off and be able to see it in a huge way. They have had such a good attitude and done everything that was asked of them. It was fun end to the season to end it on such a high note. "
