Jay Clausen got the shutout in goal facing one shot in the contest. Boyne City opened the scoring less than 5 minutes into the game through Anders Foltz. Boyne notched 7 shots on target in the first half. Anders added his second of the game (assist Derek Word) 19 minutes into the second half. Gabe Pellerito (unassisted) curled in a shot with 15 minutes left to play in the second half. Boyne tallied another 16 shots on frame in the second half.
