The Boy's Varsity team hosted Harbor Springs for a Lake Michigan Conference game at Boyne Mountain on September 10. The Boy's were looking to continue the small winning streak they had to put together to get their record to 4-4 coming into the game. 

The Ramblers wasted no time working on adding to that winning streak. As they jumped out to a 1-0 lead, as Anders Foltz found the back of the net, coming off an assist from Phillip Banner. The goal came just six minutes into the game and really set the tone for the game. The Ramblers would post seven shots on the Harbor Springs keeper in the first half, however, only one found the back of the net. They would take a 1-0 lead into halftime. 

In the second half, Boyne kept up the pressure and it was Hayden Mosley (off an assist from Amayo Bardeguez- Barrera) who was able to score again for the Ramblers. The goal by Mosley gave the Ramblers a 2-0 lead. The Ramblers would once again have seven more shots on goal, but the two goals would prove to be all they would need. Jay Clawson was able to fend off the three shots on goal by the Rams and secure a shutout and a 2-0 victory for the Ramblers. 

The win moves the Boy's record to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the conference on the season. The Boy's will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Boyne Mountain against Cheboygan. The game will kick off at 11 o'clock. 

Coach Daniels Thoughts:

The back line did a good job limiting opportunities for Harbor going forward & the midfield put in a good shift defensively cutting out any dangerous moves from Harbor.
