Calcaterra & Chapp lead the way to Boy's JV win over Cedarville 

The Boyne City Boy's Basketball teams welcomed the Cedarville Trojans to the Wheelhouse. The Cedarville Boy's JV team took on the Boyne City Boys JV team in the first game, which tipped at 5:30 , on January 7. The Ramblers JV team came in to the matchup with a record of 3-0 ( 1-0 LMC ). 

The Ramblers started early and stared fast, as they jumped out to an early lead. The Ramblers would lead 16-4 at the end of the first quarter. Kolton Stadt  and Alex Calcaterra  each knocked down a three in the first. The scoring would continue in the second quarter as well. As the Ramblers put up another 16 point quarter. The Trojans would get things rolling a little bit as well, as they would score eight points. The Ramblers would be up at the break by a score of 32-12. The second quarter was lead by Liam Chapp, who would score seven of his of his 10 first half points in the second quarter. 

The start to the second half would see the offense struggle a little, as the Ramblers only put up 12 points. The Trojans were able to add another eight points in the third quarter. The score after three was 46-20, in favor of Boyne after three quarters. The scoring in the third quarter, was distributed equally, as six players each scored two points. The Ramblers would seal the game with a 24 point outburst in the fourth quarter. The Trojans would have their best offensive quarter yet, as they put up nine points. The Ramblers would end up beating the Trojans by a final score of 68-29. The Ramblers were led offensively by Calcaterra (11pts)  and Chapp (16 pts), who each had double digits in scoring. 

The Boy's Jv team will welcome in Traverse City St. Francis on Thursday, January 9. It will be a JV double header with the girls tipping off at 5:30, followed by the Boy's scheduled at 7.
