The Boyne Boys JV Team welcomed the Gaylord Blue Devils JV team to the Wheelhouse last night, January 14. The Boyne JV team came in with a record of 5-0. The game was part of a triple header with Freshman, JV and Varsity. The JV game tipped off around 5:30. 

The Ramblers jumped out to a lead early in the first quarter. They were led by Alex Calcaterra and Mason Wilcox who each had five points. The Ramblers led at the end of one 16-7. In the second, the offense got rolling and got many players involved. There were seven players who scored in the second quarter. Gavin Hewitt and Calcaterra would lead the way in the second quarter with four points each. The Ramblers would expand on their lead by halftime, as they lead 36- 16. 

The second half was more of the same as they kept pace as they added another 15 points in the third quarter, while holding Gaylord to nine. Boyne would see six players score in the third, led by Bobby Hoth, who had four points in the third quarter. Boyne led after three quarters 51-25. The Boyne team continued with their scoring but took a little step back. The Ramblers would score 10 points in the fourth quarter and had five different players score two points each. The Ramblers would win the game by a final score of 61- 37. The JV team was led by Calcaterra with 11 points, Mason Wilcox with 10 points and Kolton Stadt with 9 points. 

With the win the Ramblers move to 6-0 on the season. The JV team will turn their focus to East Jordan, which they play on Thursday, January 16 at East Jordan. The game will be a JV double header. The girls JV team is scheduled to tip at 5:30, followed by the boys at 7.
