The Boyne City JV Boys basketball team traveled to Kalkaska to kick off the second half of the season. The Rambler boys game tipped off against Kalkaska at 7. The boys came into the game with a record of 9-1 on the year. 

The boys offense came out firing in the first quarter. The Ramblers outscored the Blue Blazers 22- 9 in the first quarter. The Ramblers were lead by Mason Wilcox who had nine points in the first quarter. The offense slowed a little in the second quarter, however the boys were able to continue to expand the lead over the Blue Blazers. Boyne went into the break with a 37-21 lead. The Ramblers were lead in the second quarter by Nicolas Santina, who had five of his game total eight points. 

After the break, the offense continued to produce as it did in the second quarter. The Ramblers out scored the Blue Blazers 16-12 in the third quarter and expanded their lead to a 53-33. Wilcox again was the leading scorer, as he added another five points to his total. In the fourth quarter, the Ramblers would add another eight points to their total. They would be outscored in the quarter by three, but had the game in hand. The boys were able to pull out a 61-44 win. 

The win moves the boys JV team to 10-1 on the season. The boys will host Kingsley on Tuesday, February 4 at 5:30, as part of a Boys JV and Varsity double header.
