Rambler Team: Boyne City 16, Kalkaska 26

The Rambler squad played hard last night but came up short against Kalkaska 26-16. Top scorer for the Ramblers was Austyn Fonseca with 5 followed by Ryan Chapp with 4 and Will Minnaar with 3. Odin Kirkby and Tommy Dobbelear had a bucket apiece. 

7th Grade: Boyne City 30, Kalkaska 19

The Boyne City 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Kalkaska 30-19 last night. The Ramblers overcame a 17-16 halftime deficit, shutting down the Blazers with a good team defensive effort over the final 12 minutes of play. Leading the balanced scoring was Landon Bingham with 6 points, while Jaden Alger, Pete Mastin, Cam Rajkovich and Brady Snyder all had 4. Reese Bey, Rider Peck, Wailand Smith and Ryan Spate each chopped in with 2 points. 

8th Grade: Boyne City 54, Kalkaska 50

Boyne City defeated Kalkaska 54-50. Chas Stanek led all scorers with 24 points. Ryan Reynodls had 10 points and Joey McHugh ahd 8 points. Kacey Gray added 5 points, which included a put back layup with 5 seconds left in the game to seal the win.
