From Coach Slate:

Boyne City loses a hard fought District match versus hosts Kingsley. The two teams came in after just playing each other in the Finals of Boyne’s Varsity Invitational with Kingsley winning the match. The Ramblers were able to snag one set on Saturday from the Stags but unfortunately that wasn’t the case tonight. Both teams came out strong going point for point until Kingsley was able to gain momentum and go on a strong serving run, taking set one 25-15. It was all Boyne City to start out set two taking quite the aggressive lead and keep it. Kingsley was able to fight there way back point-by-point and tie up the match 23-23. With an unforced net error on Boyne, the score was 23-24 Kingsley. A kill by Kingsley’s big CMU commit ended the set 25-23, putting the Ramblers behind 0-2. Set three started all Kingsley. The Ramblers finally started to get on a run scoring 5 unanswered points but unfortunately it was too late, Kingsley took set three 16-25.
