From Coach Slate:

Boyne started out the night against rivals East Jordan. Set one was taken by the Ramblers with a score of 25-19 with some phenomenal hitting from captains Senior Maggee Behling & Junior Grace Dawson due to the setting of Freshmen Ava Tarsi and passing of Junior Libero Bella Cosier.  In the second set the Ramblers had a bit of a slip up in defense which allowed a surge from the East Jordan hitters, but they were able to rally and take set two 27-25. Maggee Behling and Grace Dawson both provided 6 kills, while Behling chipped in 4 aces as well. Junior Libero Bella Cosier had 7 digs and 11 serve receptions while Freshmen Setter Ava Tarsi had 10 assists. 

The Ramblers were paired with host Bellaire next. The momentum continued for the girls, which eventually led them to a two set sweep of the Eagles. Set one the Ramblers controlled pretty handily with a final of 25-17 and in set two Bellaire put up a tough fight but fantastic serving from Boyne and unforced errors from Bellaire led the Ramblers to the win, taking that set 25-23, coming in come behind fashion. 

The night ended with a two set loss for the Ramblers from Division One Alpena. The Ramblers got beat up defensively from some powerhouse hitters and some fantastic serving from Alpena. Set one was completely controlled by Alpena taking it 25-11 while the Ramblers were able to start a rally in set two that was just a little bit too late and ended up dropping that set 16-25.
