7th Grade: Boyne City 31, Charlevoix 8

From Coach Reinhardt: Our 7th grade Girls Basketball team bounced back this week with a victory over the Charlevoix Rayders. The girls went into half-time with a 13-5 lead and then opened it up in the 3rd quarter out scoring the Rayders 13-0. They finished the game with a 31-8 victory. Our girls travel to Harbor Springs Wednesday to face a tough Rams squad. Come out and support the girls this year and enjoy some good basketball.

8th Grade: Boyne City 27, Charlevoix 24 (OT)

From Coach Morris: The 8th grade girls celebrated an overtime victory last night against Charlevoix. Boyne went into the 4th quarter down by 4 and fought their way back to force overtime. The Ramblers sealed the deal with a huge basket from Kaira VanZee who was also the leading scorer for Boyne. This was a great team win with each girl contributing. The Ramblers will take on Harbor Springs, tomorrow, in an early game in front of their students.

Next game: at Harbor Springs on Wednesday, January 22nd. The 8th grade game will begin at 2:15pm, with the 7th grade game to follow.

Note: there WILL be 3 games played next week for the middle school games. On 1/27 at SEAS there will be three games, adn on 1/29 at home vs. Grayling there will be three games.
