7th Grade: Boyne City 17, East Jordan 18

Our 7th Grade Girls Basketball team played a hard fought game Monday night but couldn't find the bottom of the basket as the time ran out. The girls collectively played great team defense and held the East Jordan Red Devils to 4 points in each of the first 3 quarters and 6 points in the fourth. The game came down to a last second attempted but the Red Devils were just a little too physical and our lady Ramblers went to the locker room with a final score of 17-18.  The girls head to Kalkaska to take on the Blue Blazers Wednesday of this week with the first game tipping off at 4:30.

8th Grade: Boyne City 21, East Jordan 18

Boyne came away with a great win last night over East Jordan by a score of 21-18. After finding themselves down 10-2 after the first quarter, the 8th grade girls buckled down on defense and crept their way back into the game. The Ramblers had a great second half outscoring EJ and coming away with the victory. Boyne was led in scoring by Delaney Vollmer and Mackensy Wilson who both ended with 6 points. Lucy Uy inspired the team with her toughness on both ends of the court. Great win girls! Boyne will travel to Kalkaska tomorrow. 

There will be 3 games on Wednesday at Kalkaska, with the first game starting at 4:30pm!
