Coach Place: What an incredible day!  We had a load of personal record times, awesome races, and potential.  Our girl's team beat Traverse City St. Francis by 2 points to win the 15 team event.  The girls beat the 4 teams who finished ahead of us in last year's Regional race.

Ava Maginity finished 2nd in the race with a time of 19:25.  This time makes her the third fastest girl in Boyne City history.  Avery Stadt finished 4th in 20:13. Jaelyn Jarema and Reagan May set new personal record times, both by over a minute.  Obviously, the new girls set personal records, but Josee Behling and Jordan Noble both ran under 22 minutes to earn medals finishing 11th and 20th respectively.  Taylor Noble and Megan Harmeling finished as our 6th and 7th runners.  Saylor Caverly improved her time by a minute and a half over her time from last year.  Rylie, Sarah, Kari, Lydia Kraus, and Lily gained some valuable experience.  We see so much potential as we go into the season.

The boy's team finished 6th overall.  Gavin Carson and Tim Gutcher set new personal records.  Kolton Stadt earned a medal with his 20th place finish in a time of 18:03, which is only 4 seconds from his personal record.  He was followed closely by Will Maginity.  Devon Hayden and Jeffery Kerr had strong races.  Paxton Giem and Kenny Krist ran well for the first meet of the season.  Again, the coaches see potential for the team.  What a great start!
