From Coach Place:

Ava Maginity became the first girl to become XC Regional Champion, since Thereseann Zimmerman in 2003.  Her time of 18:33 ties Thereseann's school record.  Avery Stadt ran a very strong race to finish 8th in the time of 20:03.  Both Ava and Avery will represent BCHS at the MHSAA State Finals next Saturday.

Overall, it was a great day for both the boys and girls teams.  There were many cheers and tears as most athletes ended their season.  We ran 6 personal record times and 2 more season best times.  Ava's time was 44 seconds faster than her previous best time.  Jeffery Kerr ran 18:04, which was 41 seconds faster than his previous best time.  Devon Hayden and Paxton Giem ran their personal record times with Will Maginity running his season best.  For the girls, Taylor Noble and Megan Harmeling ran their personal record times with Lydia Frasz running her season best time.

In team scoring, the girls team finished 5th (for the second year in a row) behind TCSF, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, and Kingsley.  The boys finished 6th, which was one place better than our seeding.
