"It was nice to get a solid race in before we move into the postseason, and there were lots of things to be excited about. Our seniors on the boys' team have been consistent all season, and Jeffrey Kerr had a huge season PR today. He's been steadily improving all season and is peaking at the right time. Freshman Corbin Smith had a season-best time today as well, and he really helped us out in the fifth position on the team. Our top five today were either seniors or freshmen, which is an interesting but fun dynamic. We've seen a lot of improvement over the course of the season with the seniors taking on the leadership role and the freshmen getting stronger and more confident.

I was really proud of the pack of girls we had working together. Our second, third, and fourth runners stuck together for much of the race and kept moving up, and of that group, Taylor Noble and Lydia Frasz both had season-best times. Our fifth runner, Jaelyn Jarema, really came through for us in the fifth spot. Ava Maginity had another impressive race, winning the girls' race by over 30 seconds. It's awesome to see everything coming together and clicking at the right time. We're excited to get into the postseason to see what we can do. We've been running really solidly, but I think we have another gear yet that we can find and maybe surprise some people." - Coach Herrmann

The Ramblers will next run on Saturday, September 17  in the Lake Michigan Conference meet, hosted at Boyne Mountain.
